For those who don't know, x episodes is a site which allowed free streaming of shows like south park, American dad etc. An order has been sent to them to stop streaming their content, discuss?

I wonder why one stupid goverment thinks that they control the internet. Because in fact nobody controls the internet. The internet is simply a network of all computer machines in the world. It is not a single entity and therefor it can not be possesed by anyone or anything. We all have pieces of the internet.
Then again, there are many retards on this planet...

This. This is seriously so messed up. Someone needs to do a purge on the governments because Congress is full of idiots right now.

Lol, Matt Stone, and Trey Parker themselves have actually said they don't care if people download South Park, cause it'd mean that another person is enjoying their art. Hence the reason every episode of the show is on their website for free. lol

I don't know anything about South Park, so I'm not gonna jump out and say anything just yet. Are they involved in the creation of the show, or do they own the entire copyright? Because whoever owns the copyright, which I would assume is the production company, is who gets to choose who can and can't distribute it.
That being said, at least the fed didn't go in and seize the whole website, lol.

SOPA tried and failed PIPA tried and failed ACTA still having a go but will fail
as long as there are people out their who dont like whats going on they will fail cause the public mass are the ones who 'run' the internet there will forever be a way to download and watch shows for free if even one person makes it so
