Astral Projection

Ok, A friend of mine told me about this two days ago and I'm kinda interested in it. xD

Astral Projection is something like..
You can get your soul out of your body.
And then you can get into another dimension or something.
For example when you almost fall asleep, but kinda be able to keep awake. Then you can have the chance to do this. But if it's even possible it seems to be hard to do it.
Ever had the feeling you fall down all of sudden when you almost fall asleep? That could be because your soul is getting up. But, most of the time you get awake immediately when that happens and your soul gets back into your body again.
It also seems that if you are able to do it, you can still see your body while you are out of it.
Sounds pretty scary to me if it's real. xD
If you don't get my explanation (which I could understand -w-'') you could also google it. ^^'' Or see Wikipedia.

So, I was wondering... what do you guys think about it?? =o
Or maybe you have a explanation for it or something..
Just.. tell me what you think about it you'd like. xD

I have that sensation of falling over quite often! It always scares me to death

That's pretty creepy to think about..what if you did succeed and then couldn't enter the body again? Or wait...that would mean you were dead, right? Umm this is confusing.

Haha, yes. It's so scary. xD Like you fall in a black hole all of sudden or something.

Hmm..well, I guess you wouldn't be dead, but I think you would be unconscious.
But IF you wouldn't be able to enter your body anymore I think you would just never wake up again or something. =O
I'm not sure.. Of course it could be you would be dead too.
But it seems to be easier to get into the body again than to get out of it.

This reminds me, I read something a while ago about a woman experiencing something like this when she was in hospital, unconscious...I think she said that she saw her own body from above, or something :O Of course she could have made it up but she gave such detailed descriptions of the room she was in, even of her husband who was in there with her at the time, how he was dressed etc. It's pretty creepy, yet fascinating.

You seem to be near the ceiling when you get out of your body. At least that's what I've been reading. xD
Hmmm..
It's pretty creepy indeed.
I've just seen a movie about it, where a demon tried to take over the body of a boy while the boy was out of it. But, that was just a movie of course.
I don't think demons would be able to take over your body that way or something.
But still.. the whole idea is creepy. ^^''

Hmm..
It's still creepy, though. O.o''
Especially when you can see your own body.
I heard it's also possible to do it in the mirror. Don't ask me how..
I wouldn't try that though.

first off im glad im not the only one who has experience with this so that makes me one happy chappy lion

but yeah as a spiritualist myself, i have often looked into things like this, different methods and ideas to see how far we can push or bodies and spirits. truth of the matter is its not an easy thing to to, yet i have done so before.

naturally when you sleep you have 'dreams'. to me it is your spirit somehow interaction with another world, or through time/dimensions as spirits are not held back by such things. when you wake you either remember such dreams/nightmares or simply forget about them but it is a bleed through effect. how else can you explain de ja vu? living an event you sure you have been through before

i have tried and tested many ideas to see if i could influence what happens when i sleep and.. well its interesting. ive found the best result for me is to kinda just meditate focus on nothing but becoming part of that spirit and see the world from those eyes instead. however on all the occasions i do such a thing depending what happens i either bolt awake in the middle of the night or wake up in the morning in extreme pain. doesnt last long but it enough to hurt like crazy

this of course is all just mostly theory on my part but it is what i have discovered and what i believe in. ill not bore you with details of what ive seen/been through here but pm me if you are

I find it hard to believe that there is some sort of spirit to begin with.

From Wikipedia: "In some cases the phenomenon appears to occur spontaneously; in others it is associated with a physical or mental trauma, dehydration, sensory deprivation, sensory overload, use of psychedelic drugs, dissociative drugs, or a dream-like state. Many techniques aiming to induce the experience deliberately have been developed,[9] for example visualization while in a relaxed, meditative state. Recent (2007) studies have shown that experiences somewhat similar to OBEs can be induced by electrical brain stimulation (particularly the temporoparietal junction). Some of those who experience OBEs claimed to have willed themselves out of their bodies, while others report having found themselves being pulled from their bodies (usually preceded by a feeling of paralysis). In other accounts, the feeling of being outside the body was suddenly realized after the fact, and the experiencers saw their own bodies almost by accident.[10]"

Also, this article does a good job of explaining it.

Omg, I feel the falling sensation all the time right as I'm falling asleep, it's so annoying. It freaks me out even to this day. But this actually sounds really interesting. I think I'll look in to it more. :)
