This has been going on for 3 days now and there's been lots of violence and robberys. Luckily, I live in Wales but most of my family live in these places. Did it start with a man being shot in Tottenham? I'm not sure.

I guess it did start with the man shot in Tottenham. I live near London and am very scared now O_o a lot of houses were burned down in Croydon and 2 other places were the most places which suffered very much, lots of people (I think) lost their homes because these people burned down their houses. Today James Cammeron said something on the news. But if you're wishing to hear his speech, I think on BBC webpage you'll find it. I think:

I only heard about this yesterday and I honestly can't believe what's happening! It's absolutely awful and disgusting in every single way and I really hope they manage to put an end to it soon, before more people are injured/have their homes destroyed

It's very scary! I'm meant to be in London centre on saturday, but I doubt I can go. It's very frightening and it's sickened me how horrible people are being. I saw a video of a group of thugs "helping" a young boy, who'd been injured, while some others stole things from his bag. Awful.

I just don't understand how people can do stuff like this without feeling guilty for the rest of their lives. I guess nobody listens to their consciences anymore, eh?

I was going to make a thread on this, but decided I did not want to give them my time.
This is seriously the most anger inducing thing for me all year so far.
It is the absolute scum of the Earth, collectively put into one place and using this whole incident as an excuse.
Honestly, if I was in the government I would say, go nuts... Shoot them all, sorry but if you are a criminal to this extent, then I do not want you in my country or planet for the matter.
And WS - they have a conscience, and it is telling them to be as much of a fool as possible, so they are following it rather well.
EDIT - and this is the city that is supposed to be hosting the Olympics for the entire World next year?

To sum it up in a simple quote:
After a man was shot be a police officer last thursday, what was meant to be a peacful protest took place on Saturday against the police and the way they handeled it, in which a 16y.o girl threw a rock at an officer and was then “attacked” (which technically, they were just doing their job) and thenthe riots began happening all over Tottenham. The rest of London saw it as an opportunity to copy, and I think it’s been said it’s to do with cuts/taxes etc - but it’s mainly just thugs doing it because they can.
Apparently, Leeds, Nottingham and Manchester have all been hit. There are a lot of rumors circulating. I don't want to live on this planet anymore. Imagine setting a Kids hospital on fire and a theater full of people, as well as all the other shops and such. It's just not right

I completely agree with you, Jiirani. I feel so bad for everyone affected by this. It's just messed up
