Does anybody besides me and Mike read this fantastic urban fantasy series written by Patricia Briggs? River Marked, the sixth book in the series, released yesterday and I'm about to grab my coat and my study gear to go get it. Who needs a dorm room when you can study on a subway train?

It's a rather excellent urban fantasy =) Basically twilight done right, with great characters, storyline, and grit.

Mercedes Athena Thompson, better known as "Mercy," is a coyote shapeshifter who lives and works as a VW Mechanic in the Tri-Cities of Washington State. Her neighbour is the Columbia Basin Pack alpha Adam Hauptmann, her old boss is an iron working fae Zee, and her friends include the loyal yet deadly soldier vampire Stefan, gay cowboy werewolf (non-stereotypical) Warren, and Warren's boyfriend Kyle. The books chronicle the trouble she often gets into in the supernatural community around the Tri-Cities.
