Warriors Series by Erin Hunter

I'm surprised no-one else has put this here yet! If you don't know, it's a long running series of books about four clans of cats that live, hunt, breath and die by the "warrior code" (like a set of laws). There's a fifth clan called Starclan and it's where all the loyal warriors go when they die, their version of heaven, and members of Starclan can share and walk in the dreams of the living clan cats. There is a lot of good storytelling, plot lines and a good mix of religion, ethics, morals etc. Who's all read the series so far? (Or at least parts of it)

You should look into it! It's pretty good. There's like 15 of the main series so far, and a couple side books, but it's worth reading them all. 8-)

I believe there's currently 18 books you can read all togethor. The average books (the true 15 of the series) are about 200-300 pgs while the super edition (a special side book) is some 600 pgs and the other two "field guide" books (character drawings, bios, extra side stories etc.) are like 100-150 pgs max. It's kinda sad that I know all of that off the top of my head... Oh! There's also the manga editions (I think 4 short stories) which tell more side stories, but I don't do comics of any type so I can't tell you much about those...

Its not sad that you know that...it just means you have good retention. Unlike Shenzi, Banzai...and....Ed.

18 BOOK!? I'll see if I can add them to my queue lol

You can put off Firestar's Quest, Warriors Field Guide and Warriors: Cats of the Clans making it only 15 books because those aren't necessary to the main story line. (but I like 'em!) There's another book coming out for the third installment, it will be the fourth for that installment. (there's six to each main 'part' of the series)

Yay, I love Warriors. ^^ I've read the first 6 books, and I'm currently reading Firestar's Quest.

For some reason, I can't seem to get into the "New Prophecy" books, so I'm reading Firestar's Quest instead. I LOVE that one, though, it reminds me of the first books in the series that got me hooked. But yes, Warriors is worth reading if you love animal stories like me. 8-)

I stopped picking favorite characters after the first series because my first all time favorite character Stonefur was killed in the sixth book and my second favorite, Whitestorm followed after that. When I reread the books (forgetting about this characters death) I began to really like Runningwind...... Either I'm bad at picking characters or I just have this cloud of evil surrounding me. Who are your favorites?

I love the these books! The only book so far that I haven't read is Firestar's Quest [I'm on the second chapter or so, so I still have a long way to go before I finish it], which I'm trying to read as slowly as possible so I don't get bored waiting for the next release ^^

My favorite characters from the series are Yellowfang, Cinderpelt, Leafpool, Jaypaw, and Crowfeather, though I also liked Mothwing, Scourge, and Tigerstar. My favorite Clan is ShadowClan, though WindClan is a close second :)

I'm usually bad at picking favorite characters too, since I usually tend to choose the secondary characters, which end up getting killed [though Warriors is an exception [Only a few of my favorites have died] ]
