Backstory; It all started one evening in the dying heat of the day in the middle of the Elsweyr desert. Katell had gone into labor a few weeks to early, just in the midst of a long journey to her families new home and shop in the village of Torval. Shortly after the delivery Katell died. There was no time for a proper burial so they left her corpse there and continued on their way. However a sandstorm left them stranded once again in an isolated cave just twenty miles away from Torval. Although the night Erowid went to get some sort of water for his family, he never returned.
He had managed to find an abandoned caravan of sorts and robbed it of all essential goods. However the Khajiit gypsies who owned it fended him off and got into a fight, accidentally killing Erowid with a blow to the head from a rock. Curiosity struck the Khajiits when they followed his tracks back to the cave, expecting to find supplies of their own to steal back. However they found only Belethor and Sabine cowering in the very back of the cave. They took the children with them out of pity and adopted them. But at the first moment Belethor saw freedom he went running for the hills. Leaving behind his baby sister in the hands of his father murderers.
After those tragic events, Belethor was never heard from again and Sabine was renamed Amalia'Tali. She was raised as the child of Ja'Zaka and Anouke and sister of M'Sahn and Ti'dar. For years she was brought up in the ways of the typical Khajiit customs and traditions. She was taught how to pick pockets, lock pick, steal, survive on the streets and live on the land. She was taught how to simply manipulate people with the sway of your hips and the batting of your lashes. By the time Tali hit age 17 she was a near professional and a favorite of the local lechers and their grab happy fingers. This life grew tiresome for her because it was against her better nature to allow men twice her age to do as they please with her. But it was the way that she survived and got money to help her family. However one night on her way back to the caravan, she was stalked by a man who had a strange liking for her. That night she didn't return home until the very morning, ashamed and forcefully deflowered. After hearing about that her family took their caravan and stuck to the roads.
Three years passed after that night and they finally settled down on the outskirts of Orcrest, taking up business as street dancers and fortune tellers. Tali however stuck close to home and rarely left the caravan, afraid of that happening to her once more. But with the constant whining and persuading from her brother and uncle, she finally managed to come out of her shell. She opened up and started street dancing once again with her sister.
A year quickly passed and the family began to grow tiresome of their lives as thieves. They wanted to start an honest business but they had no where to start. Although with the money Tali and her sister had collected over the years was put to use. With that they bought a small shop and opened up an Alchemist/Palm reading and fortune tellers shop. Tali and Anouke made usual trips to the wilderness for ingredients, Tik'ta did the palm reading and fortune telling, Ja'Zaka ran the business, S'tharr mixed potions, M'sahn cleaned and Ti'Darr became a helper.
Another year flew by as the business prospered in the small village, gaining quite a reputation amongst alchemists, mages and soon able bodied warriors in need of quality health potions. On one day an important shady Khajiit noblemen, found himself in the shop looking to make a business deal. However things didn't go over so well when the noble found himself smitten by the two youngest women of the group, Tali and M'Sahn. He grew fond of their looks and charms and wanted them for himself. He suggested arranging the marriage of M'Sahn with his youngest son while taking in Tali as a personal mistress of his, paying for her 'services' of course. The family quickly rejected the offer and the problem seemed to be solved. However the nobleman came back just a week later with news that if they didn't agree to his terms that he would have the whole family set up. Angrily, they still rejected the man and set him off. Not even a day later, the local authorities took Ja'Zaka and his family into custody.
For weeks they were kept in a dungeon with other major criminals, torturing them senselessly. Until one day when the nobleman came back to them with another proposition. This time he offered to free the entire family if Tali would bed him and become a personal mistress, while M'Sahn would be forced to marry his youngest son. They both agreed hesitantly and were taken away as their family was cast out onto the streets. The same night that Tali was to bed the noble, she snuck out his window and went on the run.
For four years straight she was on the run, always looking over her shoulder and never sleeping in the same place twice. She fled all over Cyrodiil and into Hammerfell. The noble finally caught up to her and chased her over the border back into Cyrodiil where she managed to get into an incident that looked like she had died. The noble quit his chase and in her comatose state she was found by urchins and taken in by their families. She awoke a short while later with a case of amnesia, only remembering a fragment of her history and bits and pieces about herself. Afterwards she left the area and began heading in the wrong direction, right into Skyrim.
In the midst of an Imperial ambush, she was taken prisoner amongst Stormcloak rebels and nearly decapitated at Helgen. A series of events occurred afterwards that landed her in the middle of a town called Whiterun. A short time later she found herself amongst the ranks of the companions and rose up from there on, obtaining uncontrollable lycanthropy and soon she became Harbinger of the Companions. A few months passed by and she and another member of the Companions, Vilkas, became incredibly close and romantic with one another. Almost to the stages of marriage and then intimacy. But a series of unfortunate events occurred when she went to study at both the Bards college and the College of Winterhold to study further in the arcane arts. The series involved accidental transformation, gore and murder on both occasions.
She gave up her position as Harbinger to Vilkas, becoming ashamed of herself. She moved away from the prying eyes of the public. Moving down south to Falkreath where she met the Dark Brotherhood. She didn't agree with what they did and it enraged her, once again causing her to murder the innocent, or not-so innocent in this case. This time however she didn't manage to slip away. The guards of the local town threw her in jail for several months for murder. However she was released early when they finally realized who she had killed. While in jail she managed to meet a man named Sinding, who surprisingly was in the same boat as her but far less severe. She heard his tale of Hircine, the daedric lord of the hunt and a ring that helped control the transformation. She sought out the great beast and slew it, only to find out that it was Hircine himself. She rejected his quest to kill Sinding for what he had done to Hircine and went to Bloated Mans Grotto where Sinding holed himself up. Together they killed the hunters and gained the ring.
Tali now resides there with Sinding, whom has another ring of Hircine crafted by Eorlund Gray-Mane and enchanted by Hircine after another quest done for him by Sinding himself, who atoned for his crimes. She still remains far away in the wilds, away from civilization while trying to figure out what kind of past she had.
