Ok, he's not really a character per se (he's not an anthro and doesn't talk), but he's still part of my version of the Sonic universe. I was inspired by Sonic having a pet dog in the comics to give his family a pet in my story. No bashing or flaming of any sort, please.

Name: Sharu

Name meaning: King (ancient Babylonian)

Gender: Male

Species: Cave lion

Eye color: Golden

Fur color Tan with white on the belly, snout and inside of the legs. Also has faint spots.

Weight: 930 lbs.

Head-body length: 8 ft 2 in

Height: 4 ft at the shoulder

Bio: Sharu is the pet of Sonic and his family. Sonic's family is the ruling family of the Kingdom of Hedgehog, and they have a large menagerie. It was into this menagerie that Sharu was born. As a cub, he forged a bond with Princess Sonia (who was a little girl at the time) and is the closest to her. He is fiercely protective of her.

Additional info: Cave lions are an actual prehistoric species that I imported into the story to make it interesting. Sonia's relationship with Sharu is meant to be this story's version of Jasmine's relationship with Rajah.

Indeed. There are several instances in my stories where Sharu has protected Sonia. For example, when she was being threatened by one of Robotnik's cronies, Sharu cornered her (the villain) against a column and slashed her across the back. As well, the mere sight of Sharu has scared off a few unwanted suitors.

Of course. I've just been busy and had writer's block. Hopefully, adding Sharu and other characters will inspire me so I can continue.

As I have it now, everyone is preparing for the wedding. It's a triple wedding of Sonic and Sally, Sonia and Elias and Manic and his girlfriend Mina. When Sonia leaves with Elias, Sharu goes with them to Elias' kingdom.
