Plot: One year after the events of Kung Fu Panda 2, the emperor of China demands a martial arts tournament in his honor at least once a year. Thus, the white lotus tournament is born and held in the capital every start of the summer season. Many are planning to contend, with all masters training their disciples to attend. Shifu is only allowed to pick two of his disciples and he plans to pick Po and Tigress, pitting them against hundreds of competitors in the tournament. In a small village not too far from the capital, is little Feng. Feng is a white tiger who was abandoned in that small village not too long ago. He grew up on the poverty stricken streets of his village, and eventually turned to crime like theft or black mail to stay alive. One day, as he is walking down the streets with his posse, he is confronted by a lone master. A lynx by the name of Ho. The master gives Feng conditions upon losing a fight against him, the main one being that he turns away from crime. Of course, Feng loses to the Lynx's unique martial art style, which consists of a mixture of mantis and tiger kung fu styles. When he loses he runs off for a night, and returns to where he found the master earlier. It looked like he wanted another fight, but he simply bows to the master, asking to be trained by him. Master Ho is reluctant to train someone so tainted with hatred and anger, but he figures he can reconstruct the boy through discipline and hard work. Ho agrees, and takes him on as a disciple.
