I'm Wessel Meijer, but on the internet most commonly referred to as Czarine. :] I'm a 16 your old guy from the Netherlands who's life is pretty much focused around The Lion King and quite a few other animations (mostly Disney). I think traditional/computer animation has some kind of magic touch to it that makes it that much more special than live action movies. Actually, if you'd look at my top 50 all-time favorite movies, most of them will be animated (with the Lion King probably on number 1).
As far as I can remember, the Lion King is the first movie I've ever seen (at least somewhat consciously...). The heart and work the people at Disney put into it, the lovely cast and of course the amazing, tear jerking score Hans Zimmer wrote for it combined are what make this movie, in my opinion, pretty much the best movie of all time. No I'm not over exaggerating... Anyway, I'm quite sure you guys are all aware of this, so I'm just going to shut up about how awesome this movie is (the movie itself is confirmation enough, don't you think? ^^ )
Why have I never joined a Lion King fan community before? Well, to be honest, I thought TLK was dead. I've joined quite some other communities for specific Disney movies in the past (most recently Brother Bear), but they were all quite dead, so I didn't expect TLK to still have such an alive and awesome community. :] A few minutes ago, I just randomly decided to Google 'lion king forum', because who knows what might come out. I've been on deviantART a few months now and I noticed quite a few people still make Lion King fan art, so I figured there still had to be a fan community somewhere out there. And I'm delighted to see I was right!
So yeah... I think that's about it.
Oh right! As soon as I've gathered myself some money, I'm going to make a general forum for Disney Animations, with a nice fancy homepage. ^^ For the domain, I was thinking about disneyanimationforums.com. As far as I know there's not really a big, active Disney Animation community, so I'm planning to change that! Of all the things that have their own communities on the internet, I think Disney animations deserve one the most!
