I'm Finally Here!

Some information about me: I am an 18 year old male living in the western USA. I am a big fan of the Lion King (why else would I join this forum?). For a long time, I really liked the soundtrack only for many years, but then it grew exponentially to include everything Lion king. Other interests of mine are technology and aircraft. Interesting mix. And it took me a long time to sign up here. The rest explains why:
About half a year ago, I started a big project of mine. Due to its nature, it took up a lot of my time, and prevented me from joining here earlier. But now it's finished, and I'm signing up! The history of this decision:
At around the middle of last summer (2010), I really got into the Lion King. I think it was roughly July or so when I first came across this website. (It's been a while, I know
). But at the same time, my computer OS snuffed it, and I had to reinstall it. There went my internet history. It took another month or so to rediscover this site. But by then, my big project was in full swing. I decided, to motivate myself to work on it faster, to limit my distractions. This unfortunately involved things like not signing up to this forum when I discovered it. Do I regret this decision? Yes and no. It took me longer to finish the project than I thought, but at the same time, I did work on it more productively than if I signed up sooner.
Now the big project is finished. I am very happy with it, and it now I can allow myself to sign up here. As an interesting side note, I take the extremely late joining as a double-edges sword: yes, it took me along time to sign up. But it also gave me a good thing:
There are many things that I went through phases of. At first, I thought that I was going through a Lion King phase. And then it lasted longer than the rest. And then I realized that it wasn't a phase. A big motivator for joining here is that I know for a fact that I will not leave in a short while. I came to stay.
I consider singing up here a major achievement in multiple ways. The most obvious is that I completed my project. The second is that I don't have to hold my love for The Lion King in anymore. I can release the energy! Haha!
I would love to try out and role-playing here. This will actually be my first time role-playing of any sort, but I've read a few here. Just because I didn't sign up here before didn't mean that I didn't visit. But now I am free.
