My Lion King Forum

Hello all!

My name is Alicia. I'm 17 and I live in Australia, Sydney. An interesting thing about me: I'm doing a home school course and I'm much better at physics than I am at englishXD. I love the Lion King as well as Wall-E and Tangled! Sometimes I feel like the girl from tangled:). Would love to get out in the real world a bit more but am a bit afraid, lol. I'm part of the size acceptance movement and have learned to appreciate my curves, but want to lose weight for health purposes.

I found this group when I was looking for info on Sarabi, and thought, roleplaying Lion King would be Koool, lol:D. But I'll probably participate in other ways too, so long as I don't get too busy!

My history with The Lion King: My older sisters used to watch it. Again and again. It's always been part of my life and it reminds me of when I was young and very happy:) Before life got complicated (hate being a teenager ***mumblegrumbles**).

I am here to roleplay, and would love to create a character that I think represents me in some fashion, though probably more outgoing and adventurous. I have trouble being accepted for who I am outside in the real world, but would appreciate making friends online.

And, Yes, Laputa is my fave of Miyazaki's work, coming dangerously close is Howl's Castle, Spirited away, and Mononoke.

Bubble spider? Lol, no:). Is that the one that lives underwater? I tend to stick around the house so I see more huntsmans, daddy-long-legs and the occasional dangerous redback. There's also big orb weaver spiders outside, and those ones that make little crosses in their webs (sorry - I like spiders, mostly because my sister hates themXD).

I like Spirited Away best. I liked Howl's moving castle, but it was a bit incoherent. I also liked Kiki's delivery service for the talking cat:D.

I have sever entomophobia, so I can't be anywhere near spiders or any bug really, which is why I am forbidden to go to Australia Anyway, the things I was talking about are the poisonous spiders that live in bubbles and a bite from one can be fatal; or so I heard.

This one's not Miyazaki, but the style is somewhat similar. Have you ever seen the Grave of Fireflies?

Lol... well, you could still come to Australia:) I don't see spiders every day. Just occasionally. Then again I'm pretty nerdy and don't go camping or anything:) Stick to the big cities and maybe the outback and I'm sure you'd be fine.
