Im having a Role play Dilemma

ok so I have been successfully Role playing on my Facebook page, but we got to a point where I need some advice and opinions character wise. see I consider my boyfriend as my Kovu, BUT we have a new addition to our role play and he is a Goth Kovu with the same background story, was forced to train to kill Simba yada yada, but how would you go about role playing with 2 different kovues, I have the same issue with a goth Nala and the mother Nala of Kiara, and I cant just deny anyone cause good role players are hard to come by on Facebook. so what would you do in this situation?
