OK... Here's the backstory.

Mzimu, the king and Kifa, the queen of this pride were tragically murdered by a rogue, making the rogue in charge. Not even the heir to the throne could challenge him. So he ran away (his life will be drawn out in an upcoming fanfic). This is the story of the suffering of that poor pride.
