Species: Panthera Leos (Lion)
Appearance: She stands roughly four and a half feet at the shoulder, though is a little taller than that. The lioness weighs close to 290 pounds, and is more than quick enough to leave a mark. Her pelt is a rich golden color, with her tail tuft being a dark umber. Mradi’s eyes are cool silver, capable of turning coy in an instant if she wants something. The lioness usually walks with her claws mostly sheathed, with only the dark tips emerged. She has a “Pridelander type nose”.
Personality: Mradi is, put simply, on the devious side. The lioness is decisive, though, and makes her movements carefully. However, at the same time, she has lofty sights and ambitions. It takes much to earn her loyalty and friendship, but once it is done she will fight to the death if need be for said person. To say she is a bit of a whirlwind is no exaggeration, though. She inwardly settles for nothing less than the best, and is disdainful towards new arrivals if they distract the lion or lioness from what she is cultivating. Yet, along with her unusual attitude, is the ability to put on facades as she needs them. It can be difficult to tell if she is one’s ally or enemy, if she wishes. Within all of her different faces, though, is a deep set stubbornness and determination that can be used for ill or well meaning both.
History: While she was born into a large pride, her mother was a low ranking lioness that sought nothing more than getting enough of the hunt to keep her going. Her father was a rogue that she never met, dying in the battle for a pride many leagues away. Even as a young cub, she disliked her position in the pride because the higher-up ones took advantage of her mother’s status and foisted it on her. She was especially jealous of the princess, though, for she had all the attention and respect that she could want.
Mradi did slowly climb her way up in the pride, but her low birthrank prevented her from truly gaining status. However, her quest for status gained naught but her mother’s disapproval, saying they were placed where they were for a reason. The then adolescent lioness merely scoffed at that thought, snapping back with the response that the circle of life meant progress. She’d had enough with her position in the pride, being low in the ranks of over thirty lionesses. When it came time for her first hunt, though, she surprised many of the elder lionesses. Taking down not an old or weak animal, but a wildebeest bull on her own. She basked in the first true show of approval, thoroughly thrilled in having outmatched the princess even in hunting.
It wasn’t long after, though, that she set out from the pride. It was too large for her true goals to take root, and lofty ones they were. She was the among the first to join a rouge’s pride, though, and has been cultivating their relationship for many moons. As the Sheni pride expanded, she was mildly curious as to why he hadn’t chosen his Queen yet. With each unclaimed lioness that joined, though, growing more antsy as his selection expanded. Her efforts grew, showing herself in a fine light.
Really, though, only looking for true approval and affection beyond motherly. What would come with her aims, though, would be like the tender meat of a young antelope. A treat that she would treasure.
Skills: Mradi is the lead huntress for a reason, being both very quick and strong. She is difficult to face off with in sparring, and still emerge victor. The lioness prefers not to scout unless necessary, believing it beneath her, despite having the excellent hearing for it.
