I know his story, the part where he is reunited with his caretakers brought tears to my eyes. Lions DO feel love!

i remember my history teacher once asked me do animals feel love the way humans feel love? Christian reunion is physical proof that animals, not just humans or lions, do truly feel love

No doubt about that. Lions are big cats, and when I look at my cats, they do show affection towards each other, and towards me. And I am convinced that that is not only because they want me to like them because I can open their food cans!
This morning I had big trouble breathing (asthma) and one of my cats layed next to me and layed her paw on my chest. I held her paw and she looked at me and blinked. Not lying here. So I am convinced that these, and many other animals, can bond and love with each other and other species.
