my first poem (about Mufasa)

by it means no worries
Many years ago he was the king of the world,
Prince among the pride.
His followers were many,
Ready to follow, far and wide.

Others grew jealous,
They mocked him,
Taunted him,
People started to hate him.

They plotted and planned.
The vile traitors.
He, so trusting thought them
not Capable of such an act.

The worst of them all,
The one to commit the
Act will live in infamy.

The names Taka and Simba live on.
Taka is now heralded as king, Mufasa
As a past tyrant.

They have forgotten Mufasa
But we won’t.
We will remember him.
The things he has done.
The pains he has borne.

Others regard him now
as insignificant, infamous even.
A sad decline for one so
Great, so brave.
Our defender, our hope,
He is gone.

His ashes blown to the ends of the earth.
But his legacy lives on.
We shall never forget him.
The one true ruler.
The lion king.

Fair warring, I am not artistic minded, so things with deeper meaning of elude me. but from what I can gather the poem is from a lioness of Mufasa's Pride, who despite Scars lies and commands will not by in to his propaganda. She still holds the truth in her heart. It is a good poem, if I completely missed the meaning I am sorry.
