Vizuri

Name: Vizuri
Name Meaning: 'comfortable' in Swahili
Species: African Lion
Gender: Female
Age (for most roleplays): Young Adult - 3 Years
Pride: Loner
Description: Despite being born a Slopelander, Vizuri's appearance would suggest otherwise. She's far more skinny than her younger siblings Mwanga and Kidogo. Her build is the cause of her mother, who was originally an Outsider and looked just like one. Vizuri was the only cub of Amani to take after her in body shape. In color, Vizuri is the image of her father. Deep russet brown fur that would seem far more of an Outsider look than Slopelander (who resemble Pridelanders). Lighter underside, muzzle, eye marks, and back paws. Her front paws are some shades deeper than her base hue, as is her inner ears and the distinctive stripe running form her nose to her tail tip. Unlike many females, she has ear rims, of a deep brown-black color, the same shade as her tail tuft. Vizuri's angled head has a small fluff of fur that sticks out a bit, as is unusual for a female. Her eyes are a deep green like her mother's, looking nearly black at times.
Kin: Amani - mother; deceased , Huduma - father; deceased, Mwanga - sister; alive, Kidogo - brother; deceased
Mate: None
Crush: None
Cubs: None
Personality: Vizuri's a difficult creature to pass by, she makes an impression on nearly everyone she comes across. And not necessarily a good one. She's a tough lioness, and seemed to be a rogue right from birth. She had been independent and easily angered child, who didn't like to play and preferred to be by herself. And that's how she has always been. Taking responsibility for herself only. She's a clever one, with a usually level head and isn't fazed by much. Although she doesn't talk too much, she can easily slip into conversation--though it is filled with barbed words and sarcasm. She has a rather dry sense of humor.
Vizuri is as short-tempered as Mwanga, if not more so. After the two younger cubs were born, Vizuri was always getting into spats with her little sister. Kidogo's role was peacekeeper. Vizuri also doesn't care about getting into a fight. She's always liked a good tussle, even though she hardly play-fought as a cub. The battle instinct had to grow a bit first, in her case. She's got courage and spirit, and determination to succeed. She's a spicy thing when she wants to be, and at other times, a simple grumpy feline.
History: As the eldest of the three siblings, she knew her parents the best. Vizuri was most like her mother Amani, and the two shared a tight-knit bond especially before Mwanga and Kidogo were born. Vizuri's childhood was a rather lonely time, even with the closeness of her mother. It wasn't until she began to head towards teenage years, when Mwanga and Kidogo were born, that she opened up a bit more. Even though Amani's death a few months later hit her terribly hard, she pulled through like the tough thing she was. She loved her siblings in her own way--which meant not showing it very often. And despite her frequent clashes with Mwanga, she would die to defend them.
As she aged, she began to grow tired of the Slopelands. Although her home was her home, her curiosity and independence made her want to be out and about--exploring and finding her own path in life. Maybe making up for the secluded cubhood she had. Vizuri tended to stray a lot during hunts, ending up farther away than was necessary. She would go on many lone walks and investigate the borders of the land, even occasionally daring to cross them.
She finally got the nerve to take more than a few steps past the edges of the Slopelands. So she decided simply to take off and leave. She wanted to determine her own life, and so taking up the rogue's lifestyle seemed the best path to start.
She hasn't returned to her birthplace, and so the knowledge of her father's death and the sad demise of her younger brother remain hidden to her. All of her family except Amani are still living, from her point of view. Vizuri isn't even sure she'll return at all. Only the future will tell.
