She knew he was angry, the way his fur had suddenly become as dark as hers. He roared and threw his head up, shaking his mane in a hostile display. She couldn't help but feel impressed, like she was safe around her powerful protector. When he saw her staring at him, he smirked and approached her slowly, his claws scratching up the scorched earth. But he had no intentions of harming her. "You know, I used to hate woolly lions." He purred. "And I never knew I would fall so deeply in love with one." She stood up straighter. "Really?" She challenged. "I used to think you were a maniac." "Well, I am, darling." He hissed. "I am a monster." "Hmm." She said 'thoughtfully', circling him. "I may or not be fond of monsters like you." "And I may or may not be fond of rebels like you." He snapped back, the growl bubbling in his chest a mix of frustration and joy. "A rebel and a monster..." She said, rolling her eyes playfully. "That's an interesting combination."
