I've been drawing more... humans // anime style, or so I've been trying and practising that type of art so I could one day write my own manga, or light novel. =)

So... like any other person here before... I'm taking a small break from feline art. After I got my Intuos tablet, I feel like drawing a lot more off-topic things. Especially I'm now moving onto trying painting style, learn better shading and highlight, and all that kind of jazz. And tbh... I'm getting tired of trying to draw felines... they're okay... but repetitive to do already. And I am not speaking of domestic cats, but actual big cats. Domestic cats are my love and life.
I will though... some time post lionizations, maybe of Final Fantasy, Vocaloid, or any anime I may be interested to lionize a char. We'll see, but in the mean time, I'll be just a ghost floating about.

So I got the best gift ever when I open my eyes, today...
I got a Wacom Intuos Pen and Touch :'D (Small version, but I don't care) it's so awesome and comfortable to draw with ^_^ and the buttons it has are very helpful ;A; nobody has any idea how much I love my parents and the things they get me.
I may do some sketches later with it, when I configure the buttons it has to a desired setting :> and the eraser it has on the pens other end is super helpful too ;A; |

The WiP is Pokemon based, because I'm one of those nerdy kids and boring ones that like Pokemon (nah not really boring). So I had my fictional character Richard have a Ninetales, because his animal in the fictional world I created, is a ninetail, one of the mythical rare animals and forms of magic only given to a divine king, which he is a divine king. =) Maybe next weeks showcase will have a finished picture of it.

I may start doing some traditional art now :3 now that I have nice descent inking pens. They're in different sizes, which are; 005, 01,02,03,04,05,08. And I do highly suggest them if you're looking for pens as inking material ;w; I like them even more than Faber-Castell's fine-liners/inking pens. I do not know how much they could be in USD, but I got them for about 15.90?? (Great British Pounds), with a discount. |

So, I asked KingKivuli last night if I could resurrect "Fan-Artist of the Week" contest this forum long ago had. And it can be ressurected, BUT if any of you are willing to participate in it. He will also help me run it (since I'm a noob and don't know anything on how to do that lol, I greatly appreciate it).
Basically, that contest is TLK art related, you enter with a TLK drawing (a fresh new made this month/week, not an old one), and voting is judged by QUALITY AND CREATIVITY and not by your favourite artist. Because favouritism makes it unfair.
It doesn't matter if you think you can't draw anything good at all, it's all in for good fun, and... Maybe you guys could actually start talking on the forums too? I mean... The forum itself is cool, and with lot of cool people to talk to! It would make the current forum community feel more alive. There's also TLK discussions, and an Off-Topic art area (just please don't double-post daily or more post, gather up your best and show it :3) -- There's also a lot more fun things like forum games, and what not. I am not a mod, of course, but I just want this forum to be lively with all of you wonderful people who post art.
Ok I got a bit off from the main subject LOL sorry.
But yeah, if you guys are willing to have some contest (monthly or weekly, I'll ask KK if it can be a convert to a monthly, since art takes a while), please let me know, then I will keep you updated about it =) -- Also again, if you think you suck (which you don't, don't make me come trough your computer screen, you wont like me then when I shake sense into you xD), you don't. So before I now fall asleep, and have a sleep (or a nap for like 3 hours till my alarm), I might as well post this.
Does anybody wanna do a role play? Preferably Off-Topic and related to wolves? (I can do school life type or adventure with swords and stuff too). Let me please know if you do, then we can work a plot out. But here are my standards on how I role play.

First off, my paragraphs.
My paragraphs are huge, a wall of text, being a semi-role player. Example you can see one here which I was doing with Nilla/SimbasMate: viewtopic.php?f=146&t=37918
Approx. that'd be my length of Role Play text, and I would also prefer if you can too try that, I don't need a speed reply, take your time, and if you can't reply for a while to the role play, please let me know and don't abandon it.
So basically of all that, don't try to be a one liner please. Try to use all the characters you have, each in their own place, then when both of ours come together in one scene, you can leave the second part of them out for a small bit, unless they too join. Kinda like... be creative.
Second, my role playing text types.
Bold: Normal speech
Itallic+Bold: Thinking
Itallic: Memory, flashback, other voice echoes in a mind.
Third...
Grammar. Good grammar is probably my first primary requirement. I don't like slangs used in texts like "lol k" - "u kno" - "tho if u do dat" - ect... No... please no... I'm a super higher Grammar Nazi (I type British English, so stuff like 'colour' vs 'color' doesn't count), and really dislike that kind of text in role plays.
Fourth...
NO OVERPOWERED CHARACTERS ASDFGHJKL:.... Seriously... No God-Mode characters... Meaning characters with super powers (unless it is in the fantasy/supernatural type genre, but still, nothing OP). Those kind of characters are annoying to me in normal role plays, they're okay in fantasy/supernatural type (as I stated), but not okay in normal roleplaying. Odd fur/hair colours are okay. That also counts for like super-agile-on-steroids wolves/animals/whatever.

Yay another useless journal post nobody reads and cares for anyway!
Why am I even wasting my time on this, lol? Anyway... I am far too lazy to section this like my usual updates, but here we goooo.
I recently started to do traditional sketches, and fan-art stuff which I have yet to finish. Aside of fan-art, I've been working more on human drawings and such, because as much as I love animals... I do want to learn human art. I can draw females fairly well, but males... Males are a ***** to draw because well... NO LADY BEWBS (I am straight btw...). What kinda gets my spirit down is again lack of support. I know I know, I whine about this constantly, but for heavens sake... I feel like a worthless artist who only got watchers because of Lion King art, and maybe a few wolf art. I don't even know how much of my "watchers" watch me any more. I was wanting to do a contest, but remembering that barely anyone watches my stuff, why bother and waste my time. I feel like a worthless artist despite my talent. I want to continue my art, but I just wish some spirit was lifted up on NON-TLK and Wolves, example human type art I do. *sigh*

So that's said... Commissions... I'd appriciate some commissions at the moment due to family troubles and lacking money for food even for ourselves. I really don't want to starve, or have my own family starve which'd be worse.
I'm not sure how I now feel about Collabs, Trades and such. Let's not speak of Requests because I DO NOT do them any more due to many people filling me with them, and with the time I spend on art, I prefer being paid for it as any other artist selling their art. I randomly will open RARELY a few slots for requests. But it'll be when I'm bored or some ****.
Life life life... yeah, mentioning in the commission part, life is pretty much gonna be a struggle for a few weeks. Apartment payment, bills, and what not... Yeah, pretty bad currently, and my paranoia+insomnia ain't helping at all. Heck I feel like a depressed ***** at nights, and I cower talking with my friends because I feel like I'm seeking attention, which I am not because I can feel like **** easily, and not speak for a few days.
I guess that's about it, maybe. Yeah that's all I have to say.

I'm more of a canine / anime artist myself though (I USED to draw TLK themed, but not anymore). Also I have planned quite a few tutorials which is where I do have one set up on lioness headshot. + Am currently maintaining my new youtube account which is where I plan on creating tutorials, and do speed-art most of time :3
So I'd consider this more of a bye(?) from the FAA, but not a Good-bye from the whole site (still staying on the forums).

So, excitement has hit me all day. I got my early birthday present, and it's a Wacom Bamboo tablet :3 loving it ever minute <3 I've even done some sketches I'll start doing tomorrow. Must say, I got used to it quick, at first it was a bit fast and all, but all is good now ^_^ so, my art will be better guys like the art I do on paper.
So yeah, but I ain't increasing my commish prices tho, why should I? x3 I don't need high-ass prices xD (for commission prices see the donation poll~ http://natashathequeen.deviantart.com/ if you have a dA feel free to commission)

Ok, I know I haven't uploaded anything for a while, but its because my laptop has crashed and wont switch on. And I use my fathers laptop, I could draw something, but I don't have photoshop on it, it has paint (Windows 7), but I suck at it, so, I dunno when I'll be back.
