Just a temporary title.. Until one of us comes up with something a little more interesting

Alrighty! =3

****************************************************

The rain was pouring in Falkreath. So loud was it that none of the guards even noticed the cloaked she-elf slip past into the streets. Her cloak was soaked through near enough and the rain gave an odd glow to the daedric bow she had on her back. Luckily here there were Storm Cloak guards on duty, but Amaya tried not to associate herself with anyone when she went around to the main holds. However if they were Legion members, now that was a different story.

She made her way to the inn 'Dead Mans Drink' to warm herself by the fire and eavesdrop on the chattering in the inn where all the guards and city folk went to drink. Occasionally she would order herself a mead and today was going to be one of those occasions.

Before entering the Inn however, she smirked under her hood as she caught sight of something blowing in the wind. A rusty nail held a wanted poster to a post outside the inn 'Wanted- The Legion Slayer - 1000 gold reward' Someone had attempted to sketch her, but all they had was a basic figure hooded and cloaked holding a dwarven bow by the look of it.

"Heh, you keep kidding yourselves you damn Legion" She muttered before ripping the poster down and stuffing it into her pocket.

Slowly she pushed the door to the inn open and entered the inn. Nobody really acknowledged her as far as she knew atleast.

(I hope this is all right, I haven't exactly RPed in a long time. ^ ^U )

Unbeknownst to everyone around them, there was a vampire in their midst. Though said vampire took great care in not getting caught, through illusion spells and careful disguise, she kept her guard up in case anyone had their suspicions. But so far, no one was any wiser then they usually were in this small and despicable town which only was getting soaked in the rain from outside.

"Tch, mortal races of men are so stupidly ignorant." The vampiress, Altean, thought to herself as she downed some rather disgusting nord mead. She had no use for the stuff, truth be told, as she was a creature of the night, but the more mortal she appeared, the better. But urgh, was this swallor of liquid beverage gross! She tried not to gag on the stuff as she sat in the farthest unoccupied corner of Dead Man's Drink.

The altmer adjusted her fur hood a bit more when she heard the door to the inn open. She carefully gave a look to see who it was, and it was only a bosmer who was just soaked from the rain. Altean only groaned and rolled her glowing yellow eyes before downing another swig of her mead.

"Oh Auri-El's gaze, look at what the rain dragged in." The vampire mumbled to herself. "Another woodland savage." She didn't care if anyone heard her. And if anyone had a problem with it, they could have an answer from her mace! Then again, she was one to talk, as she was completely soaked from the rain herself. Plus the somewhat fresh blood from her last meal that was on her armor didn't help as it dripped down onto the floor beneath her.

Amaya's eye briefly lingered on a hooded figure in the corner as she walked into the Inn. Something about this one made her feel a little on edge, but she put it down to the fact she was in the corner drinking alone. She heard the person say something, though she didn't quite get what it was. She halted in her tracks and locked eyes with her for a moment as if giving her a 'don't you dare cause me any trouble' sort of look.

Amaya slowly lowered her hood as she turned away from the woman in the corner and headed off to the bar, the warm fire warming her as she passed.

"What'll it be mam? Mead? Food? A room?" The bartender asked cheerfully.

"Anything that's actually got a decent taste to it?" Amaya asked, looking at one of the mead bottles on the counter.

The Nord behind the bar frowned before reaching under the counter and producing some Argonian wine.

"This, mead or alto wine" He said bluntly.

Amaya rolled her eyes, took the mead and tossed the man a pair of gold coins before heading off to find herself a table. Pretty much everywhere was taken apart from a seat a few seats away from the woman in the corner. She sighed and wandered over, trying to avoid eye contact this time.

The altmer made eye contact, if only for a brief moment, and glared back just as much as the female bosmer did before going back to mulling over the past as she was before. But that was quickly forgotten as her eyes continued to watch the elf as she talked to the bartender. Altean's eyes slipped away for a moment to down the last of her mead with a strong gulp and then noticed that the bosmer was now sitted a few seats away from her.

"Oh gods above, why do the gods hate me?" Altean mentally pondered before craning her head over to Amaya to speak.

"Don't you have a human corpse to be devouring, Bosmer?" The vampire said with a rather rude tone, with an emphasis on the 'bosmer' part of her words.

Breifly, Amaya's hand automatically strayed to her left side where an ebony dagger was concealed beneath her cloak. She brushed her fingers over the handle before gently letting her hand fall to her side once more. Normally if anyone dared talk to her like that she would either put an arrow through their gut, or hold a dagger to their neck, but she knew better than to cause trouble here. The strangers words were cold and her tone though it wasn't threatening, sounded harsh and Amaya wasn't going to stand being spoken to like that.

"Watch your tongue stranger. Don't want to go getting yourself in trouble now do you?" She said in a rather patronizing tone.

Amaya slowly rest back on the chair she was sitting in as if to state she wasn't going to move anywhere. Her eyes however remained on Altean.

Altean only raised an eyebrow to the bosmer's words, completely unimpressed by Amaya's patronizing words. She then growled a bit and her fangs flashed for a brief moment, before replying to the bosmer's words.

"You may have a point, Bosmer." The vampire replied. "But they are only words. You can't get in trouble for saying something. Then again, your kind must not know that." Altean's words were harsh as she spoke to Amaya. Though she tried to be civil to other races, old habits died hard as xenophobia and racism ran deep in her homeland culture that said the Altmer were superior to all other races.

Nonetheless, Altean's pale hands drifted down towards her dry-bloodied mace, ready for a fight if need be. Which was certainly about to happen unless Altean either wised up and shut her mouth, or someone did it for her.

"Oh, they can get you in alot of trouble if you say the wrong thing to the wrong person" Amaya spat back, trying to match the harsh words of the other elf.

Amaya slowly watched as the other elf moved her hand down to her side, no doubt to also land her hand on a safety buffer should things turn nasty. Amaya was furious. All she had come in here for was to get warm and have a drink, and now she was being spoken to like a piece of dirt. Calm.... She's just trying to intimidate me.... But why would she want to start a fight? Does she know who I am? Or maybe she's just as bad in social situations as I am She pondered for a moment. From Altean's tone, Amaya suspected her to be a high elf, that made her realize where all the racism and hatred was coming from.

"Heh, you high elves think you're all that don't you. Well you know what? Carry on speaking like that, you'll end up with a dagger through your throat before you even have time to blink" Amaya growled. "Back off"

((Late reply, I am so sorry! D: ))

"You have a point, Bosmer." The vampire returned back. "But there is no one important here. At least, for now."

It was easy to tell that her words angered the wood elf enough, which only made Altean smirk. It was so easy to meddle with mortals. They were all so high and mighty until you spoke to them with harsh tones, then they were immediately on the defense. It was all so easy to do, but then again, the pangs of guilt so long repressed did make her feel regretful a bit. But now wasn't the time for that.

"Maybe we do, maybe we don't." Altean paused before speaking again, her hand pulling away from her mace and back onto the table before her. "But you may want to watch your words yourself, Bosmer." The altmer then got herself up and away from where she sat and walked over to the bartender to properly pay for her mead. After this, Altean then approached Amaya with a strong glare in her eyes.

"After all, you don't want people to be carving up that pretty little face of yours, now do we?"

(Don't worry about it =) Just reply when you can, there is no set time limit ^^)

Amaya watched Altean leave to head towards the bar. She thought to herself 'Thank the gods, she's leaving' But when the she-elf returned Amaya's eyebrows narrowed with anger.

"So now you're threatening me eh?" Amaya said, closing her eyes momentarily.

When they opened, they flashed dangerously. She leapt to her feet, not caring who was watching. She grabbed Altean by the hood and dragged her outside by the neck.

"Don't worry, she's just had a little too much to drink. I'll get her home" She called to the others in the bar.

Amaya knew that it was only going to be a matter of time before Altean fought back and realized what was happening so she rounded a quiet corner and flung her down on the ground before her.

"Boy did you pick the wrong person to mess with" She growled, reaching for her bow.

(Ah, thank you! ^ ^)

The altmer didn't know what the hell was happening at first, being dragged outside by Amaya rather roughly by the neck and rounding a far flung corner. However, it was easy to then put two and two together when she was flung down into the ground and now about to stare down an arrow to the face if she didn't act quickly enough.

"Trinimac's glory, what do I do?!" Altean panicked in her mind before coming up with a quick plan to either get away or get some damage in and then flee.

"No, it's more like you picked the wrong person to mess with, mortal!" The vampire hissed as she flung herself towards the other she-self in the hopes that she wouldn't miss and tackle Amaya to the ground.
