Warrior Cats Roleplay with Zoketi [Private]

[Yep. If we don't get back to the plot we'll be bored and our muse will leave us more often because it is JUST SO HEARTLESS LIKE THAT ;-;]

[Zoketi]

[ exactly. ugh. rough day, but I'll force out a post cuz I don't want this to die ;-;
so, skip a day, maybe, to make things clearer? ]

Bluestrike rolled over, tail swishing over the moss of his nest. He yawned and pulled himself into a sitting position, shaking out his thick blue-grey coat. The tom's yellow eyes flicked around the dim light of the den. He crept forwards and peered outside, noticing that the sun wasn't up yet, but a pale glow lit one side of the sky where it would eventually rise. The medicine cat yawned again and sat down, turning to wash his pelt.

[Iri]

[Because I'm mean, I forgot to reply.]

Lilypaw rasped her tongue over her paw. She had awoken just a moment or two before her mentor. She flicked her short tail and caught a glimpse of the dark sky. Fortunately it wasn't dark of stormclouds. The glow of the sun peered over the edge of the horizon.
Lilypaw guessed that the other Clan cats were sleeping, so she stayed quiet, just listening to the soft whisper of the wind and awaiting the sun's warm greeting. She continued to groom her pelt, picking out pieces of soft earth and bits of grass.

[Zoketi]

[ you aren't mean shush ]

Glancing around at soft rustles, he spotted Lilypaw grooming herself. Bluestrike glanced back and sniffed the air, eyes narrowed as he peered out into the camp for a few more moments. Then he turned back around and approached the small white cat. "Herb-hunting." he grunted, flicking his tail as he glanced from her to the stores. "C'mon." he added, spinning back around and exiting the den without so much as giving her a chance to reply. He headed towards the camp entrance.

Lilypaw nodded, then saw Bluestrike turn and exit the medicine den. She had begun to grow used to her mentor's grumpy ways.
She followed, her paws swiftly moving through the grass. She wondered what they'd find now- poppy? Marigold? Thyme? Cob nuts? More horsetail? Or thieving cats?
She shook the thought from her mind, convincing herself that no cat after the flood had ceased would try to steal from them now that the territories were drier. After all, RiverClan's territory was bound to have fish again.

[Zoketi]

He plodded determinedly along, head lowered and tail flicking behind him. "Keep your eyes out for goldenrod and mallow plants." he murmured, glancing back at his apprentice briefly before straightening and ambling forwards. It looked to be a nice day.

[Iri]

Lilypaw nodded a little, sniffing for the goldenrod and mallow herbs. She looked around, her eyes narrowed. She didn't really see much, except for a few plants that their herb stores were already overflowing in. She flicked her ear, feeling the sun's warmth on her back.

[Argh muse where are you]

[Zoketi]

[ tries to glue pieces of muse together and fails ; - ; ]

The medicine cat was content with the silence. He meandered onward, his head upright and ears pricked forwards. Glancing back at Lilypaw, the tabby tom wrinkled his nose, and emitted a low grunt as he picked up the pace. Exercise too, that was a good idea. Bluestrike took a break from staring around for herbs and broke into a run, not bothering to tell his apprentice what he was doing.

[Grrr argh]

Lilypaw tilted her head for a second, wondering what her mentor was doing. Finally she decided to just sprint after him. She wasn't necessarily a fast runner due to her short legs, but she knew she'd at least be able to keep up with Bluestrike. She'd practice running, after all. WindClan cats, she had often heard, were the fasted runners on the moor.

[ grr argh xD ]

It was fun to be sporadic sometimes. The tom glided along, his eyes forwards and his ears half-lifted. The wind gusted pleasurably past his blue-grey tabby fur, and for a moment he was happy, doing the thing that WindClan loved best. Then he slowed, and he shook off the ecstasy like cobwebs. Back to work. Flicking his tail as he came to a walk, he headed for a patch of mallow that had conveniently appeared ahead.
