( Can I be Sakura since you have Hinata and Sasuke? Oh and Sakura is still helping Sasuke right? P.s: You know that you can use any of the minor characters too right?)

Sakura rubbed her eyes,"I-I-know!" She bowed her head low as if she wasn't useful enough. "J-J-ust promise to bring Sasuke back! Please! NARUTO! Bring Sasuke back to me. This is a once in a lifetime thing, please...."Sakura said frantically rubbing tears, but they just came falling back down. Shikamaru sighed and looked at the time as if waiting for Naruto to hurry up and say something so they can get along with the mission. Naruto was about to say something until Hinata came towards the group with her ninja gear on. Neji stepped forward.

"Lady Hinata?"He said. Neji was surprised that Hiashi let Hinata go on to the mission. Shikamaru scratched his head. "You're accompanying us in the mission to retrieve Sasuke Uchiha?"Neji asked. Hinata fiddled with her two index fingers and nodded. Naruto was about to say something until Hinata came along. "Hinata's coming! Guess we'll have someone else from the Hyuga clan to balance out Neji's big ego,"Naruto slipped. Neji turned his head towards Naruto who slowly backed away and went behind Choji.

"Hmm, I guess Hinata coming along would be our advantage. Two Byakugan users and then we have Akamaru and Kiba's noses, we should be able to track Sasuke in half the time before." Shikamaru then counted the group and closed his eyes again forming a curved rectangle with his fingers. "Alright, I can change the formation into including Hinata." Then he sighed and realized Sakura was there.

Her eyes were widened. "Hinata Chan's coming to the mission?"she said once her voice stopped with the hiccups after her cries. Neji nodded. Then she raised her eyebrows. "Can I come with you guys? Can I come and retrieve Sasuke with you!"she cried out.

"Sakura..."Naruto said. "Err, I'll make that promise to you. I'll retrieve Sasuke so you don't worry about it!"he said. Sakura's eyes widened and she felt comforted by his promise, but she wanted to save Sasuke too. She saw the big goofy grin on Naruto's face and a thumbs up sign towards her.

"I want to come! Please include me,"Sakura said.

Shikamaru sighed loudly and went to the front realizing how much time they wasted and that the conversation was getting nowhere. "Listen Sakura, we can't include everyone in the group got it? We already have more than enough members of the team and everyone has their own role to play in the mission,"Shikamaru said in a tone that meant he was done playing around and that he was dead serious. "No offense or anything, you have nothing to contribute to the team,"Shikamaru said firmly. Those phrases brought Sakura to tears. Shikamaru was now getting annoyed. "Sakura, we have to go now."

Sakura nodded, but ran after them crying. "Sakura, I made that promise and I'm going to bring Sasuke back--to all of us!"Naruto said. "And I never go back on my word, thats my nindo: my ninja way,"he said pointing a thumb to his chest. Hinata smiled once again. Those words were all the confidence she needed.

"Let's get going Lady Hinata,"Neji said.

All of them set out on the mission and finally went outside of the Hidden Leaf Village.

Sakura wiped her tears and walked back to the village with her shoulders slumped. "You have nothing to contribute to the team."Shikamaru's voice was still ringing through her ears. Was she really still that useless? She couldn't even stop Sasuke. She did something even worse. She had no part in this village. She wanted to go with Hinata and the others so that she could erase the mistake she did the night that Sasuke left the village. She was still so in love with Sasuke knowing that he never even liked her that she did something so horrible that even Naruto wouldn't even look at her. She took a seat in the nearest bench and just cried more. "Even Hinata is going,"Sakura thought to herself. "That girl who was always so shy and whose father always looked down on her has now just begun to bloom after the Chuunin exams. What have I done? I'm still the useless Sakura." She felt a hint of jealousy towards Hinata.

Naruto was still walking behind Choji when he said Neji had a big ego. Surprisingly, Neji never went out and beaten the crap out of him. Instead, he smiled a little bit and kept walking, muttering the words ego over and over again. Naruto was sure it had something to do with when he fought against Neji in the Chuunin exams and beat him, proving that a failure like himself can stand tall. In fact, he felt the need to beat Neji because of Hinata. When Hinata was put against her powerful cousin, she chose to stay and fight bravely, almost killing herself. Neji told her something that angered Naruto: "People can't change." He wanted to prove Neji wrong and that people can change. Even though Hinata lost the match, even Naruto could see that Hinata changed as well.

"Lady Hinata,"Neji said suddenly turning towards his cousin. "Are you sure that Lord Hiashi approved of this?"he asked one more time to make sure. Hinata nodded once again. Neji then nodded, being reassured. "Byakugan!"both of them said as they activated their visual kekkei genkkai. Kiba and Akamaru were sniffing Sasuke's trail as they walked through the forest.

"Anything yet?"Naruto asked confidently and eagerly. "Hold on! We can't just magically track him! But...his scent is getting stronger with every step we take." Neji nodded. "We both have our Byakugans ready."

Shikamaru nodded as they all got into their planned formation as if things were going the way they were supposed to. The thing on Naruto's mind was the promise he made to Sakura. He nodded confidently, he was definitely going to bring back Sasuke. They took a swift left with Kiba's scent's direction. They were moving at top speed and Kiba's scent was getting stronger. "We're still not in Sasuke's range yet Shikamaru. Our Byakugan can see up to 10 kilometers. We'll have to double our speed and we can reach Sasuke within a day,"Neji informed him. Hinata nodded, adding in more information.

"Alright then. Once the moon's in sight we'll have to rest up,"Shikamaru said abruptly looking at the clouds in the daylight sky. Naruto stopped suddenly. "ARE YOU FREAKING CRAZY!"Naruto asked. "No I'm not,"Shikamaru said brushing off dirt from his shoulder as everyone stopped to hear what Shikamaru had to say. "My justu won't work in the night, shadows are best in the morning sky,"Shikamaru said. Choji nodded understanding. "Yes that makes sense since Shikamaru relies on his Shadow Strangling Jutsu. Resting up also gives us plenty of time to replenish all our chakra,"Choji said pointing to his chip bag. Naruto grunted and then sighed, understanding Shikamaru's clever way of thinking. "Alright then, we'll still keep moving. We've got plenty of time til its night."

(Oh, I didn't know, ok then And yes, Sakura is still helping Sasuke And she is jealous of Hinata! What a crock! )

Hinata was starting to like going with Naruto and the others to help find Sauske, until Neji started asking her over and over again, "Are you sure that Lord Hiashi approved of this?", and she was itching with the urge of punching him. After she listened to what was going on, she cleared her throat and said, "Shikamaru and Choji are right, we should rest to be able to restore our chakra.....but Naruto is also right, we need to keep moving if we want to be closer to finding Sasuke."

Neji nodded, looking through the forest with his Byakugan, seeing if there are any dangers. "Lady Hinata is right, we either stop and rest, or we keep going. It's up to the group. And I say we should rest." He looked at Hinata, who nodded her thanks and approval.

They were still going on for hours, stopping to rest for a few minutes and catching their breath, before setting out again. Before they knew it, it was night already.

"Alright, lets stop over here,"Shikamaru said. Choji nodded and set down. Neji, Hinata, Kiba, and Akamaru scouted the area one time to see their location and if any threat was in the way. Choji set a tent and all of them rolled out their sleeping bags, including Naruto. Naruto then stood outside of the tent with his arms crossed, obviously not liking to rest. "This guy's such a drag...."Shikamaru said from inside. Naruto could see his shadow with his arms behind his head leaning against the tent in a lazy manner. "Should I have Akamaru bite him?"Kiba requested in a humorish manner. Hinata shyly protested against the idea.

"You know I can hear everything you guys are saying!"Naruto said. He took a finger and peeped his face into the tent. "I think they meant for you to hear,"Neji said smirking a little. Kiba rolled on his back and laughed with Akamaru barking at him. Naruto frowned a bit. "What's with this resting! I don't feel tired at all!"Naruto said with his stubborn manner. He huffed a bit and got into his own sleeping bag. "We could have reached Sasuke by now!"Naruto muttered. And then he was out, tired and sleeping.

Neji raised an eyebrow,"He talks about him fired up and ready to go, and he's the first one out." Choji nodded. "The only thing that actually keeps me going isn't the fact that we're almost there, its the fact that there is someone in our group who's willing to push himself to the limit. I guess that stubborn Naruto is that person." Hinata's face brightened up, as if someone took the words right out of her mouth. "Anyways, I guess Akamaru and I have to get a good night's rest too. Night guys!"Kiba said and turned to his side. Shikamaru yawned and slid his fingers into the cover. Choji threw his last bag of potato chips outside and went off too. Neji was off as well. Hinata then slept off too.

Naruto yawned and woke up realizing that he slept already. He took his blue and orange jacket and zipped himself up. He could hear splashes of water coming from outside. Everyone was still asleep, and Hinata buried her body under the cover. Naruto didn't realize that it was just two pillows with a blanket on top. He went outside and zipped up the tent when he saw a girl on the lake. He couldn't see her face, but his eyes widened. She was almost dancing on the water splashing it with one hand over another and twirling. "Woah...Who are you?"Naruto said. This alerted the girl and she took a nearby towel and took off somewhere. "That was weird."

When all of them were walking, Naruto was sneezing. Since he went off into the lake in the midst of morning, he already had caught a cold. "So then she was dancing. And she was really beautiful,"Naruto explained to Kiba. "So she was in a lake and was dancing in the water?"Kiba asked. Naruto nodded and sneezed again. "Oh dude come on, don't you think that you must have just been dreaming?"Kiba replied. Naruto shrugged. "To be honest, I don't really know what I saw,"he said sneezing again as Akamaru whined. "See I told you,"Kiba replied as he got into Shikamaru's formation. Hinata was almost sneezing quietly. She cupped her hands in front of her nose and mouth and sneezed. She was also covering her ears and almost wincing as she heard Kiba and Naruto talk about the girl in the lake knowing it was her. Thankfully, Naruto switched the subject.

"How far are we?"Naruto asked once again. He was jumping from one tree to another taking one long leap and leaving a loud footprint on one branch. Kiba sniffed the air once again. Then Neji and Hinata held a hand in front of the group like an X, preventing all of them from moving any further. "What is it Neji? You see anything yet?" Neji nodded. "I see...Sasuke's chakra and a couple of others." Shikamaru nodded. "Just like I thought. Orochimaru sent others to accompany him. We need a plan. But if it comes to fighting, I think we can sustain. After all, we have the Hyuuga clan's most talented member,"he said talking about Neji.

"He's not that good,"Naruto replied. "I did beat him in the Chuunin Exams didn't I?" Kiba raised an eyebrow,"It was probably just luck." But Kiba knew that it was a lie, nobody couldn't get past the fact that somebody as thickheaded as him actually beat Neji, who was easily the most powerful in the group.

He set a foot forward until Hinata immediately stopped him, twirled him around, and set him back against the nearest tree. Neji's byakugan was still on as well. "Traps. They are everywhere."Neji said examining the ground and up in the trees. "Traps? Then that means we're really close,"Naruto said. "Oh and thanks Hinata. I could have easily given out our location, and the trap may have even killed me. I owe you one,"he said. Hinata blushed a bit and played with her fingers,"Nn-o problem Naruto-kun." She turned on her Byakugan. Shikamaru carefully examined the single line that was almost invisible.

"Naruto's right. There setting traps as they go, the bad thing, we'll have to be more careful. The good thing, they just set off a trail. Hinata, Neji, notify us about anymore traps. Kiba, inform me on the number of Sasuke's escorts." They both nodded.

"There are about... 4 of them,"Kiba said wrinkling his nose.

"Alright then. We'll keep going. Neji's byakugan tells me that their only a mile up ahead."

'I can't believe that Naruto almost saw me!' Hinata thought to herself, after she heard Naruto and Kiba talk about a girl on the lake. After she saved Naruto from the trap, she turned and jumped to the top of the nearest tree. "Pull yourself together, Hinata!" she whispered to herself. "Just because he almost saw you doesn't mean you go crazy about it!"

"Choji! Trap towards your 2 o clock,"Neji informed him from the back. Hinata stopped him immediately, twirled him around and pushed him towards the ground where he slid back a couple of meters, buckling his knees. "Thanks,"Choji said wiping some dirt off of his fat cheeks. Kiba grinned and ran straight ahead at full speed when Neji intervened and placed a hand at his shoulder. Akamaru barked at Neji. "What is it now! I sense Sasuke and the others! There a few feet away!"Kiba growled. Neji took two fingers and smacked his forehead. Kiba whined and rubbed his forehead. "My byakugan shows me 4 people, but I don't see Sasuke anywhere. The whole perimeter is set with paper bombs,"Neji said. Then he closed his Byakugan.

"Paper Bombs?"Naruto said widening his eyes. "Then how the hell do we reach Sasuke? If we set one foot towards him, we'll blow up instantly,"Naruto whispered as all of them hid behind a bush.

Shikamaru closed his eyes and curved a rectangle as if thinking. "They don't need to waste paper bombs setting a perimeter if they weren't stopping to do something." Shikamaru's eyes peered towards a hole in the bush and found a bin like Neji said. Then his eyes opened wide as if in shock. "Sasuke's in that bin!"Shikamaru whispered towards everyone. Neji's Byakugan peered deeper into the bin then it stopped.

"You're right,"Neji said nodding.

A fat guy in the group accompanying Sasuke threw a paper bomb that went flying past Shikamaru's eyes. "What? How did we alert them?"Naruto whispered. A potato chip from Choji's bag fell into the perimeter and they were flying back. Shikamaru checked to see any major injuries. The four people, 3 guys and a girl crowded them. The girl had red hair and looked snarky and creepy. The other guy who threw the paper bomb was fat and chubby with orange hair. Another guy had a weird tongue with 4 arms. The last guy had silvery blue hair with purple lipstick.

"Who in the [censored] came here?"Tayuya asked?

"Talk lady-like Tayuya!"Jirobo, the fat one said.

"Shut it fatty!"the girl, Tayuya said smacking the fat one down.

"We have to get going. Jirobo, take care of these weaklings!"Sakon, the silvery blue haired guy said. "And don't take too long or you're left behind got it!"Tayuya said.

"Leave it to me. I'll have a good dinner."

"Did the guy said...dinner?"Naruto asked uncertainly.

"Earth style! Mud Dome!"Jirobo shouted. The ground became moist and formed a dome where they were trapped. "WHAT THE HELL!"Naruto said. Jirobo was slowly feeding on their chakras. "Let's get out of here,"Naruto said. "Shadow clone jutsu!"he shouted. A 100 clones were punching at the wall, making no progress, and slowly every one of them disappeared.

Kiba and Akamaru stood on stop of each other,"Fang over Fang!"they said rushing at full speed and hurling towards the wall where they were trapped. Kiba started breathing heavily and clutching his hand. "Can't feel my chakra!"

Neji was the last one to collapse. Shikamaru felt tired, but he sat in his thinking position, observing carefully as everbody made their attempts to break through.

Hinata looked at everyone on the ground, looking worried and yet also getting angry. Then she took a deep breath, was about ready to jump when she felt her chakra being taking. "Ugh....Father.." She said before she fell out of the tree to the ground below, and luckly she landed on top of Naruto, him being a matress for her landing. Before she lost consciousness, she saw Sasuke come up to her and say in a low voice, "Sorry about this, its nothing personal." Then her vision faded in blackness, her last thought being, 'Why is Sasuke with them?'

(Wait, i thought Sasuke was in the bin, lol.)

Naruto groaned as he felt somebody on top of him. "Oh its you Hinata." He groaned and got up. Choji was the base for everyone's fallings, but he didn't feel anything thanks to his large structure. They looked around themselves, not being able to look at the sky. They were literally trapped in a large mud ball, clawing at the walls to get out. It was no use, their chakra was draining slowly and once their chakra level was completely empty, they'd die. "Gotta get out!"Naruto said straining his voice to make at least one other shadow clone.

"I'm not going to lose to you Naruto!"Kiba said grinning as he also started crawling on his elbows to reach the end of the wall on the opposite side. "Fang over Fang!"he said weakly. Akamaru whined, not agreeing with Kiba. They would only deplete their chakra faster. "Let's go Akamaru!"he replied. Akamaru groaned, but followed Kiba's orders as they formed a drill and tried to hit different areas.

Jirobo could hear everything from outside as he began sucking everyone's chakra. "What the hell?"he said pausing. "There's this different kind of chakra...its so...evil. It's huge! It's in that dumb-looking blonde kid,"he said. "Wait...he couldn't be...the nin-tails jinchuuriki!"

In that few moments, Shikmaru opened his eyes, coming up with a genius strategy. "Over there, in the center. That's its weak spot!" Neji nodded, confirming Shikamaru's theory. "You're right, but our chakra is almost gone. I can't even do the 8 trigram air palms." He turned off his Byakugan and then immediately turned it back on. "Wait a minute, how come Naruto and Choji still have so much chakra left? Naruto, your chakra is..."

Shikamaru turned his eyes from Choji to his potato chips. "It's his potato chips. While that fat guy was sucking our chakra, Choji kept on repleneshing it with food. And as for Naruto-"Shikamaru said, trying to figure out the reason behind his amount of chakra.

"It doesn't matter, lets just do it!"Naruto said grinning. He knew it was the nine tails chakra that was sustaining him. "Choji we'll have to hurry, in a matter on minutes, everyone's chakra will be gone." Choji nodded,"Roger that! Human Boulder!"He shouted. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"Naruto said making about 30 shadow clones.

"Naruto, weaken the center spot, and Choji will make the blow while it's still recovering!"Shikamaru said. They both nodded. Naruto and his clones rushed straight towards the center and punched it fiercely. It made a big impact, but it still was regenerating, but not as fast as the others. "Choji now's the time!"Shikamaru shouted. Choji hurled into a ball and ran into the center spot like a boulder, crashing the dome like bricks and breaking everyone out.

Neji gasped for air and could feel his chakra coming back to him. Jirobo was stunned. "Nobody broke out the dome. You guys are lucky, but you won't last long! Why do you guys stick with that goofball?"he said looking at Shikamaru. "He's so weak and pathetic!" Jirobo also came to Choji and snatched his potato chip bag as he shoved him down with a foot over his back. There was one chip left and Choji was looking expectantly. THe chip went straight into Jirobo's mouth. Choji was aggravated deeply. He got up from Jirobo's grip and pulled out three pills.

"What's that?"Naruto asked. Shikamaru widened his eyes. "Choji don't tell me that your going to-"

"You guys go ahead and catch up with Sasuke. I'll deal with him,"he said. "You guys are no match for me!"Jirobo said laughing, but he kept an eye on Choji's pills. They were green, yellow, and red. "First up, the spinach pill,"he said crunching the green one.

"Choji, just promise me that you won't use the red pill,"Shikamaru said. "Don't worry Shikamaru, I won't. And remember what you said before the mission. You will gladly risk you're life to bring back Sasuke. I don't like him either, but I'll risk mine too. For all you guys to escape and catch up with Sasuke, alright?

Choji began to get bigger and stronger. "AAHHH!"he said pulling a huge rock and throwing it towards Jirobo. "Amazing,"Kiba said. "It would take about a 100 people to lift that up, and I'm not talking about shadow clones." Shikamaru nodded,"You're right. But the greater the power, the greater the risk. The pills come with side effects. We should take the chance to get to Sasuke like Choji said. And Choji, You better catch up with us!!! If you don't, I'll come back for you and kill you!"

Choji laughed,"You got it Shikamaru!"

Hinata got up off of Naruto and said "I'm sorry, Naruto-kun, I didn't mean to land on top of you." After the gang got out, Hinata followed to others to look for Sasuke and thought to herself, 'I hope Choji will be alright,' not realizing she said it out loud. "Byakugen!" she said, looking around to find any traces of where Sasuke had gone. "This way! Follow me!" Then she started running in the direction where she saw traces of Sasuke's chakra.

"She's right,"Neji said nodding. He looked behind him and saw Shikamaru stopping. "What are you doing?"Neji asked as Shikmaru took a stick and started scraping words in front of him. Then he began to understand as Shikamaru drew an arrow pointing the direction they were going. "It's directions for Choji isn't it?" Naruto took his dagger and began to scrape words into the tree, raising Shikamaru's eyes. "Catch up with us slow-poke...Naruto, "Neji said reading the message. He took a dagger and did the same thing as Naruto, along with Shikamaru. Hinata and Kiba looked at each other before getting a dagger and scraping words as well.

"So we caught up then huh?"Shikamaru said. He noticed the three of Orochimaru's companions, in other words slaves, carrying Sasuke in the bin. "We need a plan, if we can each go one at a time and hit him with each one of our strikes, he won't see the others coming. I'll be bait." "You're brain never ceases to amaze me Shikamaru" Neji thought. Kiba and the others nodded. Then, Shikamaru looked back at Hinata. He thought of her battle skills, knowing that neither of their opponents are for her. How would she be able to fight? "Hinata, you know a little medical ninjutsu. It's vital that you can't engage in a fight, we'll need your medical ninjutsu if one of us gets hurt or we need to contact re-inforcements, so you'll have to stick with me. But if one of us gets seriously injured, in hope that somebody arrives, they can be saved. And as for the rest of you, I need you to prepare to attack that many armed guy. But first, we'll try to outsmart those dunderheads. I don't think it'll work, but if it gets us any information, it'll be good for a fight."

Shikamaru then transformed into Jirobo and went with Tayuya and the others. "So you caught up then! Hold this you fat bastard!"she said. Shikamaru shrugged and remained silent, his usual lazy self. Then Tayuya creased her eyebrows. "This one's not Jirobo!He's always telling me how much I cuss. Imposter! Who are you?" Shikamaru transformed back into himself grinning. "So you're not as dumb as you look."

"I leave him to you,"she said looking at the six armed guy. "Lord Orochimaru needs Sasuke."

The guy threw some sticky substance at Shikamaru sticking him to the tree. "What the hell is this thing?"Shikamaru said as he strugged to get up. He noticed it came from his mouth. Kiba and Akamaru tried fang over fang to knock them out, but another silk strand wrapped around his legs, tying them both. Naruto came out with all his clones, but as expected he couldn't get a good hit and they all got trapped again. Neji and Hinata came last and Hinata was first to get into the web. It started cocooning her. Neji avoided a few strands with his genius taijutsu aiming at the guys mouth. Suddenly, he got caught into the web as well. Shikamaru groaned. If someone as powerful as Neji couldn't avoid them, what chance did they have.

"So which one of the clones is the real you?"the guy said looking at Naruto. There were about 15. He took a bow and some sticky material from his mouth and show several clones, leaving only five. "You're a lucky one." He shot 3 more, leaving only 2 left. Shikamaru watched expectantly struggling from his web. He shot on of them, but it was a clone. "So this one's the real you!"he aimed at Naruto's chest but it was a clone. "What?"the guy said. Suddenly, Neji broke from his web with empty fist as Naruto attacked and landed on the ground, cutting Kiba and Akamaru's web. Then Hinata realized what Neji did and broke through the cocoon as well, cutting Shikamaru's web. Still, even though they outnumbered the spider guy, he was still too strong for them.

"I'll handle him."Neji said. "This silk thread is only something that a Hyuuga clan member can cut. I am the most talented of the Hyuuga clan, and I figured up a strategy." Neji looked around. "The ones vital to making this mission a success is all of you, in this game, I might as well be just a sacrificial pawn." He looked at Shikamaru since he played chess all the time. Shikamaru's lips parted a little. "Shikamaru, you really are a genius. Lady Hinata, please be safe. Kiba and you can track Sasuke in no time. And Naruto...sometimes, you're eyes are better than mine. I believe that you are the only one capable of driving the darkness from Sasuke and leading him to light with your own set of eyes." Neji smiled a bit.

"Neji..."Naruto said.

"Go on, I'll be fine,"Neji said getting into Hyuuga style stance, looking dead serious.

"Be careful, Neji," Hinata said, before turning to Naruto and the others, saying with all the confidence she had in her, "He's right, Naruto, you are the only one who can help Sasuke. I know that this will be difficult, but....I-I believe that you can do it Naruto."
