Tiaret kicked up with her back legs, sending her attacker flying off of her. The large lion snarled and leapt at her again. Tiaret growled as he sank his claws into her back. She twisted quickly, sending her paw flying into the lion's face, making a large incision. She whimpered as he shredded her skin with his claws and pressed all of his weight onto her.

Vida frowned as she saw a lioness slinking off in the shadows. Vida bounded after her, ignoring Shahallie's puzzled calls. "Find Tiaret." Vida called over her shoulder.

Shahallie did as Vida said and kept on going. He finally saw the waterfall, and more importantly a lion on top of Tiaret, shredding her skin. Shahallie roared and tackled Tiaret's attacker. He then clawed the lion's face hard. The lion roared and kicked Shahallie off of him. He then immediately pounced on Shahallie before he could get up. He was trying to bite Shahallie's neck, but Shahallie was using his arm to push the lion's neck away.

"Tiaret go! Find Saka by the river. Now!" Shahallie shouted.

"But--" Tiaret started before she was cut off.

"GO!"

Tiaret nodded nervously and disappeared into the forest.

The attacker noticed Shahallie's arm wound. He stopped going for his neck, but instead went for the burnt flesh. He slashed at it and made a deep cut inside, blood pouring out. Shahallie roared in deep pain and the lion seized his advantage. He uppercut his claws at Shahallie's torso and made another deep cut there. He then quickly swung his right claw at the side of his face. He finally got off of him and smiled darkly, looking at the maimed lion before him. Shahallie's face was covered with his own blood and he couldn't feel his arm anymore. He was defeated, and hurt terribly. But the important thing was that Tiaret made it out of this battlefield alive. His attacker grinned darkly.

"Was that your girl?" He said evily. "We'll she's now gonna be MINE!" And then he took off, laughing, in the direction Tiaret went. Shahallie then passed out.

Tiaret heard Shahallie's yell of pain. She turned and hurried towards him, ignoring his order. She saw the enemy lion advancing. Without thinking she ran faster then slipped under the lion, reaching up and tearing his stomach fur with her claws. The lion snarled and turned to face her. She gave him a fierce look and dodged the paw he swung at her. She retreated quickly then leapt forward and caught his throat with her fangs. She slashed him across his chest. "For me." She twisted her head, tearing his throat out,"For Shahallie!" She whispered vehemently.
Tiaret backed up and ran to find Shahallie. She let a mournful cry escape as she sighted Shahallie's broken body. He was laying on the ground, covered in his own blood, and his sides heaving slowly. "Shahallie!" She scurried to his side and slipped under him. She grunted, as she lifted him up. She slipped, then caught herself before she hit the ground. She had to get him back; she was going to.

Shahallie's eyes barely opened up. He was getting carried by someone. He tried getting the scent of the lion, but he couldn't do anything straight because of the pain he was bearing. Every step the lion took was like a boulder crushing him. He tried saying something.

"River." He managed to get out. He soon passed out again, in fear of thinking he won't wake up again.

Tiaret winced as Shahallie whispered something. "It's okay, we are almost to the river." Her voice was soft and caring. She looked down from the small cliff she was on. Vida was waiting at the river, licking blood off her paws. Tiaret took a deep breath and drew her lips back in a feral, determined snarl as she began carrying Shahallie down the incline.
"What happened?" Vida rushed up to Tiaret. Tiaret looked at the ground,"I got someone else in trouble, again." Her voice was quiet and guilty. "It's not your fault-I shouldn't have split from him." Vida's words were strangely comforting. Tiaret smiled faintly and eased Shahallie onto the ground.
"C'mon, get up!" Tiaret stepped on Shahallie's tail, the only visibly uninjured part of his body.

Shahallie woke up from his daze. He opened his eyes a little and saw two lionesses staring at him: Tiaret and Vida.

"W-where's Saka?" He whispered quietly. "And are you alright?" He said to Tiaret.

Tiaret cast a casual glance at her back, which she hadn't noticed, until now, was lacerated and bleeding in several places. She turned back to Shahallie,"Yeah, I'm fine. It doesn't hurt anyways. I don't know where Saka is-Rachelley's probably being rebellious." She and Vida chortled a little at the last part. Tiaret padded over to Shahallie,"Are YOU okay? 'Cause truth be told: you don't look so good." She lowered her voice,"Thank-you."

Shahallie tried smiling through the pain.

"Your welcome." He whispered.

He then gazed at his arm. He grunted in pain. His veins were discolored and was oozing blood out very fast. Tiaret then noticed his arm.

"Oh no. Shahallie....." She said in a frightened voice.

"It's ok. I'll be f-fine." He then let out a small roar as pain struck him again.

"No your not." Vida said, stepping in. "You need help fast. Look at it!" She said, motioning towards his arm.

"And look at your rib age too!" Tiaret said, motioning towards the deep cut in his chest. "Shahallie you could bleed out!"

Shahallie started breathing in a weird pattern now. He passed out again.

Tiaret looked at Vida.

"I'm going to get Saka and Rachelley. Maybe Saka will know what to do, if not maybe Rachelley."

Vida stepped in her way.

"No. I'll go. I'm faster."

Tiaret swallowed hard. Vida was faster an she wanted to stay with Shahallie. "Okay," she nodded,"Hurry." Vida gave a short, sharp nod and darted off, her legs darting in and out from under her golden body. Tiaret sighed and turned back to Shahallie, tears starting to sting in her green eyes. She nuzzled underneath one of his fore legs and crowd against his chest. "I'm sorry." She quietly sobbed.

Saka frowned as Vida dashed up to Futenal, Rachelley, and he. "What?" Vida was breathing hard,"It's Shahallie, come quickly." She gave him a. desperate look and darted off as quickly as she came. Saka turned to Rachelley,"Bring Futenal quickly." With that he sprinted off after Vida.

Tiaret continued to sob quietly into Shahallie's chest. Maybe her brother and Vida was right. Maybe she was weak and pathetic. But then again, she just killed another lion. That's when more guilt came in. She just realized that that was the first time she has killed a lion, but he deserved it. She then her running coming from behind her, but sighed in relief as she made out the shadows of Vida and Saka. Rachelley was also coming, carrying Futenal.
