On the side of Image, two words here also: "The Characters".

It's always been about the characters for me in my life. Because they're people and are the ones that truly affect us inside which other things of a film can't do. Sure, the film story, music, scenery itself can be appealing and so on. But the characters themselves should never be "enslaved" to a story as many see it. They should always be ones to live on from a story.

You can have a corny story brought up, but still have interesting characters brought about, even before it's made. A story should Always, revolve around the character. Not the other way around.

I suppose because it has no humans and I think my parents educated me with it as they knew I had an interest in animals after watching The Animals Of Farthing Wood. Is this the only film ever not to feature any humans?

The whole package... the animation, characters, music...

It's so hard to pinpoint the main thing I admire about the film. :/

I like the ease of this film. But at the same time this movie is about very important things- friendship, betrayal, in general- about the complexity of relationships.
But because of the ease that it's all there does not seem sententious or uninteresting.
I think this is due to the fact that serious scenes interspersed with humor.
That is why the main characters can easily convey to us their ideas.
This is what I like in this film- the ease and honesty.

I love the entire thing, but I think my very favorite part is the music.
