History: When Zazu accidentally filled Scar's mind with thoughts of a mate, the king set his eyes on Nala. After asking her to be his queen, she struck him and fled the cave. She spoke to the lionesses and then left the Pride Lands in search of help. At her absence, Scar became enraged, and threatened the pride. To buy the pride, and Nala, some time, Tama sacrificed herself to the fate Nala had fled from, and let Scar take her as a queen in Nala's stead. When Simba returned and liberated the lionesses, at first Tama had intended to stay. However, when she realized she was pregnant, she left, not wanting the other lionesses' pity or sad looks directed at herself and her cubs. She traveled west and joined Malka's pride in the Flatlands, knowing her young would be treated like any other here instead of as "Scar's brood." She gave birth to a litter of four, but only one survived infancy; a daughter she'd named Yasmin. This cub grew up happily in the Flatlands, blissfully unaware of her lineage and of the tribulations her mother had endured. She was brought up alongside the other cubs of Malka's pride and retains a childlike and playful quality into adulthood.
