Zira is definitely my favorite character from TLK. I've always thought of her as Scar's wife, and probably will always think of her that way, but that didn't change the fact she was a dedicated follower of Scar. No matter how bad her intentions were, lol, imagine if she was on Simba's side, with all the spirit and the dedication she had.

Why do you think Zira is so evil?

She was fascinated with being evil. Even in her lullaby song she said she had a lust for being bad. Other than that I think she knew Scar very well and admired him.

It all comes down to psychology. The way her mind worked, the way she was, all she needed was enough hate to be as evil as she was. Simba's defeat of Scar was all she needed to slip over the edge into evil. In other words, it was likely partially resulting from a mental disorder, and partially from her devotion to Scar.
