An amazing composer. I love the fact he has done music from Lion King to Black Hawk Down. And in a million years I wouldn't be able to tell it was him. Unlike John Williams who's work (other than the main themes witch are fantast) the rest of the score can be almost identical, for example Indiana Jones and Star Wars.

The funny part was when I was watching Inception, I simply knew that it was Hans Zimmer who composed the music! I went and checked it afterwards, and sure enough, it was Zimmer. But I don't mind if a composer's music all sounds alike. I like the "don't fix what is not broken" attitude. One of my favorite composers apart from Zimmer is Bill Brown, whose works are very narrow.

But yes, Zimmer is simply amazing.

He also did a lot of other notable things, including the Call Of Duty games which went on to be one of the highest selling video game series, so yeah... Pretty much anything he ends up scoring seems to turn to gold.

The man is a genius. Spirit, Pirates, Kung Fu Panda, and especially The Lion King and Kung Fu Panda 2.
