The priveledge of locking one's own topics

Hi! Welcome to the Feedback forum.
Before reading anything or asking anything; please check out the FAQs. Your question might be in there. However if you want a better understanding after reading the FAQs, like if it didn't explain it good enough, then by all means ask your question.

Please read the following before posting in this forum...

In this forum you will see an Announcement, and several "sticky" topics. The announcement is the Universal Board Rules. If you are new, read this before doing anything else! The sticky topics will stay above and separated from normal user-made topics in the forum. This is because they outline important information about the board. If you see a sticky topic concerning your issue, please reply with your question or concern in the correct topic. Moderators will see your reply within these topics. Before asking your question, be sure to read the topic and its first page especially. It contains information about your issue that is valuable and may even answer your questions. If the topic does not answer your question, ask your question within the topic, not the forum. If no sticky topic concerns your issue, then you are welcome to ask your own questions by creating a new topic within the forum.

Thank you for keeping the Board Help forum organized!

True, although some of the other contests aren't just limited to a small part of the board, such as the graphics contests and other Fan Art ones, so that would give said person a lot more power than was intended. ^^ Furthermore, that might encourage someone to create a contest just for that reason alone. lol. :)

Sorry, but I'm not sure why you still think we need it if... umm... we don't need it XD

Like I said, the staff is here for exactly this purpose, so don't go trying to make us obsolete buddy XD

Wait... I'm confused now. How can this give people more power than intended if it doesn't reach beyond the award ceremonies section and/or the member dens?

It might make people make a contest for no good reason. They might make it just so they can lock their own topic.

Because not all the contests are limited to the Awards section on the forum, I.E The Graphics Artists Of The Week/Month and the other Fan Art Contests on the forum. Those are in their respective boards and by giving that person who runs those contests, access to lock topics, that means they could lock any topic within that entire board. ^^ If we give the right to lock topics to anyone who has a contest, all people would have to be taken into consideration, not just those who have contest threads in the Awards section of the forum, which you'd be the only one as of right now Snowy, aside from KK. lol. ^^ We try our utmost not to show favortism here on MLK. :)

Ah you misunderstand ;) I'm suggesting to only give this priviledge to the Award Ceremonies section of the board. this would have no effect on the rest of the contests in other parts of the board.

And again, that's showing favortism Snowy. ^^ You're the only one who runs contests in that section of the forum who doesn't already have the ability to lock threads. :)
