how 'bout a jungle theme or an elephant graveyard theme? that they can be chosen any time during the year, so a member can pick his/her favorite athmosphere (like the green colory jungle, or the brownish grey elephant graveyard etc)

We had different themes to choose at one point, but then Moka removed them because they made some text difficult to read and he had to keep updating all the skins everytime a new version of phpbb was released. It was kind of a pain if you ask me and I'm glad they're gone. ^^

I think that’s a great idea. And a winter theme.. blue/white with snowflakes and TLK characters with scafrs and earmuffs, lol.

Season themes are a great idea Especially summer, something with water and fun would be great (because most peeps are at the beach/swimming pool at the summer )

And yeah, Halloween is a worldwide thing too! It's also celebrated in Europe since a few years.

But... if we make a theme for each season when will we ever have a classic MLK theme?? We need some consistency, people. The only reason Google changes its logo a handful of times a year is because they want to keep the design regular throughout the year.
And this goes back to my previous reason for why this probably won't be a good idea. As I said before, Moka would need to update the new themes each time a newer version of phpbb came out, which would be a pain in the rear-end. Some text would be hard to read, and the colors wouldn't match well with the rest of the MLK domain.
I'm not saying we shouldn't have any new themes at all (heck, I would actually enjoy a change of design in MLK) but I'm just saying that we can't have one for every little event. ^^
Of course, if Moka decides to go along with your ideas anyway, I'll shut my mouth and pretend I never said anything against this lol.

EDIT: A Halloween theme would be epic. So would a New Years theme, a Valentines Day theme, a Christmas theme, an Easter theme, and maybe a Thanksgiving theme (again not sure since this is an American holiday). Oh, and maybe a TLK theme for TLK's Sweet Sixteen?

Yeah, true, but for the summer thing, it could only be up for the first week or two of summer. And, new is more exciting. Yes, it will be hard work to make all of them, but im sure some members could help Moka out. Im willing to help.
Plus, he doesnt need to make a new background completely, just the top graphics (on every page).
