Garfield: The Movie

I will give it this: It's more passable than some other live-action adaptations. It doesn't have anything offensively bad. Flintstones had Fred nearly cheating on Wilma, Smurfs took you out of their interestingly quirky world to focus on the bland romantic "comedy" humans, and Scooby Doo gave Scrappy a peeing problem, for which the gang kicked him out of the Mystery Machine and left him in the middle of nowhere (which was overly-cruel, just get the dude a diaper) and he became the villain for some bizarre reason. And the less said about the cringeworthy Cat in the Hat and The Grinch, the better. At least Garfield sidelined the rom-com crap and kept the attention where it should be, so by that standard it is somewhat decent.
