Private w/ Adofo

Letting out a frustrated snarl, Chaltuu veered sharply to the left, pushing some of the foliage aside until she found two thick, rigid tree branches that were both roughly the length of her leg- a little shorter, but not so much so that it would have an effect on anything- lying in the middle of some of the vegetation. Though it took her a little while longer, she finally managed to locate a lengthy, sturdy vine. Lying down on her side, she pressed the stick against her fractured hind limb. Taking the vine in her jaws, she wound it slowly around her leg, before finally nudging it under a few times and creating a secure knot to fasten it against her leg and keep it in place. Though it would only be temporary, it would hopefully work for at least a while, perhaps until she made it to the Pridelands with Adofo.

Adofo wanted to offer to help her tie the sticks to her leg but he knew she'd get mad

[Iri]

"C'mon. We better not waste all day. I have a friend to avenge and you have family to return to," Chaltuu said gruffly in a sarcastic tone. Though it still hurt when she stepped down, and thus putting pressure on her leg, she found that the sticks and vines prevented her from bending it and hurting it further. Picking up her pace again until her gait was relatively quick, she continued on the path. "We're headed in the correct direction, right?" she asked brusquely, shaking her pelt to try to get some of her long, scruffy fur out from in front of her eyes. Rasping her tongue over her muzzle, she stared up at the sky. How she hated warm days, for many reasons. For one, with her thick pelt, it often made her feel overheated and drowsy, and two, it often brought back painful memories of when her father would force her to stay outside in the blazing heat to "punish" her, knowing full well how terrible it was for her.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yes. Hopefully we're not as far as I think we are

(And then they arrive at Priderock, get married, have a billion cubs together and live happily ever after! The end!)

[Iri]

[Nope.]

"Let's hope not," Chaltuu grumbled. She heard her stomach bawl with hunger again and she sighed, veering in the opposite direction to search something to at least able to temporarily fulfill her hunger. Perhaps a hyrax or a few spring hares, or if she was fortunate enough to find some source of water, a couple of fish. Even though it wouldn't be as satisfactory as a zebra or gazelle carcass, she supposed she would have to subsist on rodents and other small mammals until she could chase ungulates around again. Though she knew the chances were rather unlikely, perhaps Dhakiya's killer lived in Adofo's pride... She had been given little information about the lion who had ended Dhakiya's life, other than the killer had been male.

[Adofo]

(You're right. ......That will all come later! ;P )

Adofo meanwhile found a small herd of zebra. There was one really large one. Big and fat. Adofo used one of his remaining arrows and fired it at the zebra. He managed to hit it in the neck so it only moved a few feet before dropping to the ground

Chaltuu looked startled as she saw the long, thin projectile pierce the ungulate's neck, and watched the striped mammal collapse, where it lay completely limp. No doubt it was dead. The pointed stick seemed to have punctured the zebra's trachea or jugular- but even if it hadn't, something stabbing into its neck was certain to be a fatal injury. Hurrying over to it and prodding it, she sniffed the zebra, a little bit wary. She wasn't sure if the end of the twig had been coated in poison of some sort, but she wanted to be cautious. Grabbing the end of the dart, she yanked it from the zebra's neck and began gnawing on its shoulder, tearing off a chunk of meat and swallowing it. It was rather gamy. She continued to chew on its flesh, ripping off little wedges of meat, but she kept mainly eating around its neck, shoulder, and upper chest portion, letting Adofo have the stomach area of it.

Adofo tore into the stomach. He was quite hungry. So he was just devouring what he shoved into his mouth. But after a bit, he took a breather to check on Chaltuu.
Adofo: ...How is it?

[Iri]

"It's fine," Chaltuu grunted, licking some of the blood that had stained her muzzle. "What is that?" she queried, gesturing towards the long stick with a pointed end. It looked rather dangerous- and it was, considering it was what had taken down the zebra. Waiting for an answer, she continued to gnaw on the meat, savoring it. It did taste rather good, and gamy. And so far she didn't feel nauseous or in any other way ill, so she supposed the end of whatever Adofo had used to kill the zebra had not been coated with poison or some other form of toxic substances... Kneading her claws against it for the sake of watching its skin tear open a little bit, she folded her ears back tiredly. She simply could not wait to get her paws on whoever had murdered Dhakiya. Injured leg or not, she would find whoever had committed the crime and destroy them...

[Adofo]

Adofo: I call it an arrow. I shot it with this thing I call a bow. I put one end on this vine, pull back, aim and let go. If I do it right, I can shoot soming hundreds of yards away. ...Unless the wind is blowing like crazy.
