Greely just rolled his eyes and sat down next to her.

He slowly sighed and said,

"Do you ever feel like running away from this place?"

Dezzy sat up. "Yeah." She looked up at the sun (pretty much herself) and sighed. "Should we move to Jamaa Township? All the other Alphas live there."

Greely shook his head.

"I don't know... I haven't seen them in a while"

[Kipekee]

"Well, at least get us out of here. My mother's scent is still hanging in the air three months after she's dead." Dezzy growled slightly.

"Sure. I'll do whatever I can." he replied, refusing to make eye-contact.

He then sighed.

"You were never really close with your mother" he mumbled under his breath.

[Kipekee]

"Who would be?" Dezzy scooted closer to him, their fur brushing. "She was a freak. A maniac. An evil, insane monster."

Greely didn't reply. He lowered his head as if he were a puppy being scolded by his mother.

Dezzy frowned. "I'm sorry if I was rude there for a second. It's just that there was nothing nice to say about my mo- Neyuka."

Greely shook his head.

"Its not that"

Dezzy licked his cheek. "Then what is it?"
