Character Description

Sarafina is voiced by Zoe Leader. She is the mother of Nala, and is Sarabi’s best friend.

She has one line in the first two movies, and is only seen a few times. The first time we see Sarafina is when Simba runs into the sleeping chamber of pride rock. She and Nala are sleeping in the middle. The next time we see her she is giving Nala a bath, right before Simba shows up and takes Nala to the “Water Hole”. At this point in the movie, she finally gets her one line. Nala asks, “Mom, can I go with Simba?” Sarafina then says, “Hmm, What do you think Sarabi?” Then she never speaks again. Sarafina is seen after the stampede scene when Scar is telling the pride that Simba and Mufasa died. At this point Sarafina is seen crying while Nala is crying into her leg.
