Chumvi didn't mean to upset Nala, but his words sent her running from Pride Rock, faster than anyone could catch her. When her legs could no longer carry her, she collapsed onto the ground in a sobbing heap. As the minutes past and exhaustion set in, Nala cried herself to sleep. Slowly she fell into her dream world, which brought her comfort. In the fuzzy darkness of her mind the face of Simba appeared, smiling at his dreaming friend. Nala couldn't help but smile in her sleep. "Hey Nala, wake up! Let's go play!" Dream simba said to her with a laugh. But what seemed like a loving dream was a warning from her subconcious. For as she slept the shadows around her, with glowing red eyes, moved closer to her; creatures from nightmares etched in real life to devour her.
